Katie Walters is an art educator and artist. Her artwork is primarily autobiographical and is created as a way of processing life events.  Currently, she is creating art investigating wedding culture in the U.S. during a time of increased income inequality, debt slavery, and cultural narcissistic tendencies. 

She teaches studio art and art history in New York City, and resides and creates art in New Jersey. Katie received her B.A. in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her M.A. in Art Education from the City University of New York at City College.
